About Dean Loux:
Dean joined American Log Mortgage with 10 years of financial services and banking experience. Over the past five years, his sole focus has been log and timber frame home financing.
Due the complicated nature of log home construction, Dean strongly believes in taking time to educate his customers. Since Dean rarely has the opportunity to meet his customers face-to-face, he is keenly aware of the importance of strong communication. He also understands that people bring American Log Mortgage their dreams. They are usually excited and highly emotional. Dean makes sure to listen closely to his customers and he is willing to invest time to understand their specific needs. Each day, Dean strives to provide his customers with a smooth, pain free experience throughout the mortgage process and stands behind his promise to provide exceptional customer service.
American Log Mortgage specializes in turnkey construction to permanent financing for log homes. Because American Log Mortgage has developed a niche with log home financing, borrowers can overcome many of the common stumbling blocks they experience with lenders who are not familiar with log home construction. Dean can provide a single settlement process, helping his customers to avoid multiple closing fees. Finally, Dean provides a 12 month construction term, where most banks only provide 6 months to complete a home.
In general, most banks don’t understand log home construction. Common lenders will often require three or more log comparables as a condition for loan settlement, which can be EXTREMELY difficult in many real estate markets. American Log Mortgage will not limit the appraisal search to log-only comparable sales. In addition, most lenders design construction draw schedules that only disburse money for work completed at the site. In other words, they will not disburse funds for log package deposit payments, nor the balance due upon delivery. American Log understands the log home industry and the need for “unconventional” fund disbursements.
